What is DictionaryForMIDs?DictionaryForMIDs is a flexible dictionary that can be set up with dictionaries for all languages around the world. For example it is possible to set up (= configure) DictionaryForMIDs with an English to hindi dictionary as well as for an English to Chinese dictionary. Beyond language dictionaries, it is possible to set up any other dictionary for DictionaryForMIDs, for example a ZIP-dictionary, a phone dictionary, a dictionary of medical terms, etc.DictionaryForMIDs is an open source project and free software (the GPL license applies). Please note that the dictionaries that are set up for DictionaryForMIDs may have different copyrights. Highlights of DictionaryForMIDs include:1 Plenty of functions and numerous customization options.2 Sophisticated search features that also allow to find phrases and use of various wildcard characters. 3 Language-specific search features, that allow to find words with similar writing or pronounciation.4 Very short search time for translation thanks to elaborated index structures. 5 Localization of the user interface to many languages.6 Bitmap font support for devices that do not provide the fonts for a language. Instructions on how to use DictionaryForMIDs
The below detail with images r explained as english-spanish is same in hindi dict.
The startup screen:
Here you just type the word for which you search the translation.
You can also use wildcard characters for your search:
* matches any series of characters
? matches any single character
Then you open the Menu.
Substring search can be turned off by putting a / at the beginning or the end.
Example, for a dictionary with the following entries:
(1) home
(2) go home
Searching for "home" will find (1) and (2).
Searching for "/home" will find (1) only.
Searching for "home/" will find (2) only.
Here is the menu:
In the menu you select "Translate".
Note:
On most cell phones/PDAs there will also be a "quick key" for starting a translation. So in order to translate you just can press that 'quick key', instead of going though the menu.

This was an example for an English to Spanish translation.
For changing the translation direction, select in the Menu "Settings"
This is the setting for translating from English to Spanish.
If you want to translate from Spanish to English, you set "From language" to Spanish and the "To language will automatically jump to English".
Activating "Show statistics" will display on the translation screen some interesting information such as the time needed to find a translation and the available free memory of the cell phone/PDA.
"Incremental search" activates the incremental search feature (deactivated by default). With incremental search, the matching translations are shown while typing. Incremental search requires a fast device.
Press "Apply" when you are done with the settings. The new settings will take effect immediately, there is no need to restart.
The info-dialog contains some informations about the configurated dictionary and of course about DictionaryForMIDs:
